Rich Internet Applications
A Rich Internet Application (RIA), also known as an online application, web based application, eBusiness or even eCommerce application is an application that has many of the characteristics of a traditional desktop application. In other words its is much more than a web site for viewing information but more of an interactive online experience that companies can use to conduct their business online. RIAs dominate in financial trading, retailing, entertainment, online gaming, basically anywhere an application is required to perform transactions.
Mobile Apps
Mobile Apps are applications developed for small low-powered handheld devices such as smart phones, mobile phones, tablets and personal digital assistants. Mobile Apps have previously been thought of as games and simple entertainment applications but now with the emergence of the iPad and other Tablet devices many Mobile Apps are now dedicated to Business and Productivity Solutions.

Reignite uses the Best-of-Breed technologies available to build RIAs and Mobile Apps.
To build RIAs, Reignite uses Adobe Flex. Flex is a highly productive, free, open source framework for building expressive web applications that deploy consistently on all major browsers, desktops, and operating systems by leveraging the Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR runtime for the desktop. Reignite has been an accredited Adobe Solution Partner since 2006.
To build Mobile Apps, Reignite uses X Code and Objective C to build iOS Applications for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and Eclipse with Java for Blackberry and Android. Reignite is a Registered Apple iOS Developer with several apps on the Apple iTunes App Store.
When building online applications and mobile apps, Reignite typically uses Java with Spring and Hibernate for all server side development. Some clients have a preference for PHP on the server side and so Reignite has also developed and number of applications with Flex on the client and PHP on the server.
